Traveler Insurance 101

If you are traveling abroad, you’ve probably thought of all the “must bring” items you think you will need. Swim trunks, sunscreen, a light jacket, and even traveler’s cheques. But did you wonder what would happen if you lost all those needful items along the way? Or maybe the local cuisine won’t agree with you and you fall victim to some kind of local bug. Did you think to make sure you have visitors medical insurance?

In many countries, health insurance companies or health insurance plans do not provide adequate medical insurance. So while you are on foreign land, you may find yourself in a very awkward and financially impossible position if something happened to you medically.

Traveler’s insurance is something anyone thinking of traveling should consider. If your health care plan covers only the bare minimum, visitors health insurance is something you shouldn’t leave home without.
