Travel Canada – So Much to Do
August 6, 2009 by Admin
There is no doubt that Canada is quite a large country; it is the second largest piece of land on the planet, and its coastline hits the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. So, it is no wonder that many people, on any kind of budget, flock there each year to explore the many places Canada has to offer.
Traveling around Canada is not as difficult as one might think. As in the United States, the most efficient way to get from one part of Canada to another is by airplane. But, if you cannot afford the bargain airline, WestJet, the Greyhound bus service can always get you where you need to go. And, the best part about taking the Greyhound is all the spectacular countryside you will see along the way. So, no matter how much money you have to spend, Canada can offer you a way to get to your hotel or destination fast, inexpensive, and with all the conveniences you’d find in the United States.
And when you do visit Canada, you will be delighted to learn that it is like seeing two countries in the same area. A tourist can get a taste of French and English at one time. In Montreal and Quebec, the French surrendered to the English in 1759, and the two cultures have melted together beautifully. One of the most exciting events to see is the Montreal Jazz Festival. If you get the chance, you will get to be part of the 100,000 visitors that come to listen to some of the most talented European and American Jazz artists. And, in Toronto, where english is spoken, you can find the largest grouping of cultures known in the world, along with the most outstanding and reasonably priced hostels. While you are there, check out Chinatown, Queen Street, Greektown, West Fashion Market, and the artsy Kensington Market. You will love everything Toronto has to offer.
For those tourists who love to be active no matter where there go, Canada has something for them too. Try Mount Robson and the Glacier and Revelstoke for skiing. They are glorious snow covered peaks, and even if you do not ski, it is a sight that should not be missed. That is why tours done on foot are offered on these mountains ranges, along with Waterton Lakes. Do not worry, they are affordable for the visitor who needs to pinch pennies. No matter if you visit french-speaking Montreal, or english-speaking Toronto, by plane or by bus, you will find something that fascinates and interests you at a price you can afford. Safe traveling.
